Mass effect 2: can you detonate pull if you do pull on a protected enemy?

I don't like how warp is only for 1 enemy at a time. So I want to take advantage of the pull + warp combo.

Can you detonate pull if you cast pull on an armored or shielded enemy?Mass effect 2: can you detonate pull if you do pull on a protected enemy?
There is no "Pull" power in ME2; there is only "Lift", which only inflicts minor damage to defended targets. You have to negate protection in order to use Lift and to detonate it with Warp.

Edit: Note that most powers save for those intended to pierce protection (Incinerate, Warp, Overload, Concussive Shot) inflict minor damage and no other effect when they strike a target with protection remaining.Mass effect 2: can you detonate pull if you do pull on a protected enemy?
The ME2 power is called "Pull", not "Lift".
