Mass Effect 2 they ruined it!?
Now dont get me wrong mass effect 2 is a great game so far, the graphics are amazing, ive only just started out though.
The thing which has been ruined for me is the inventory! There ISNT one!
In the old mass effect i loved the ammo and armour upgrades and looking at the gun stats. Adding ammo which is effectieve against synthetics and organics was fun.
Thats completely gone!

No, because there is still the ammo powers (incendiary is good against orgainics, and the electric shot is good against synthetics). I personally like the fact that there isn't an inventory, so I don't have to keep worrying about running out of room, or always comparing stuff on my teammates to see if it's better.
Edit: I personally like the Warp Ammo that you get from Jack; it's good against biotic barriers, armor, and health, and grants bonus damage against an enemy that is affected by a biotic power.

I don't like how warp is only for 1 enemy at a time. So I want to take advantage of the pull + warp combo.

depends, are you going for one of his fighting out fits?.....if so i'd go to a sporting goods store and get some stuff like a black spandex/nylon body suit, some hockey pads (or similar) and maybe some shin guards....
if you go for one of his casual outfits that he wears on the normandy, get the right colors and do some spray paiting...restaurant reviews what is internet

Why when planet scanning on Mass Effect 2, it tells me I can afford a new project, but its not in the terminal?
I check the research terminal and check all the categories (Prototypes, Armor, Weapons, Ship) and no new upgrades are available.
The scanner tells me I can afford it but the upgrades are still grayed out in the research terminal.
Please help?

Hi my name's Pat I just got Mass Effect 2 and I'm up to the Horizon attack point but I was wondering if there are in-game armor types you could unlock later on in ME2. I read that at Gamestop you get a certain armor and gun, special armor anywhere else. With Dragon Age Origins you get dragon armor, and the collectors edition has collectors armor and gun. Mass effect 2: reave or armor piercing ammo?
reave does 3 times the damage for barriers and armor. armor piercing ammo does +70% of armor and health damage. Which one should I get?
I'm leaning towards getting reave (or maybe slam) since I can give garrus squad armor piercing ammo. I can have garrus with me on all the missions, and it won't be a bad thing because garrus is a good squadmate if you ask me

If you're worried about staying alive, use geth shield boost or barrier or something. For pure offense, I guess reave would probably be the way to go of the two you mentioned. Warp ammo is also pretty badass, as it boosts damage against.. everything: health, shields, barriers, armor. Slam is semi-worthless if you're playing on a higher difficulty because, like way too many abilities in the game, it only works on enemies with nothing but a red healthbar left. AP ammo doesn't do jack against shields or barriers... and there's A LOT of those. A better alternative would be Warp ammo...

If you have biotic abilities, invest in Reave. Otherwise consider another power.
So many bosses have tough shields and armor, I'd definitely go reave.

If you're worried about staying alive, use geth shield boost or barrier or something. For pure offense, I guess reave would probably be the way to go of the two you mentioned. Warp ammo is also pretty badass, as it boosts damage against.. everything: health, shields, barriers, armor. Slam is semi-worthless if you're playing on a higher difficulty because, like way too many abilities in the game, it only works on enemies with nothing but a red healthbar left. AP ammo doesn't do jack against shields or barriers... and there's A LOT of those. A better alternative would be Warp ammo...

If you have biotic abilities, invest in Reave. Otherwise consider another power.
So many bosses have tough shields and armor, I'd definitely go reave.

I went out today looking for a copy of dragon age origins that still had the code for the mass effect 2 blood dragon armor, but they all seem to be being replaced with the new game of the year or ultimate edition or whatever. It has all the DLC, but I can always get the DLC, and it looks like they're not making the copy that comes with the blood dragon armor for ME2. I made this page hoping someone out there got DA:O, but doesnt have an interest in ME2, and might still have an extra superflious armor code. How do you get the Heavy Ship Armor and Multicore Shielding upgrades for the Normandy in Mass Effect 2?
You are able to buy the heavy ship armor by talking to Jacob and asking about upgrades. You can get multicore shielding by talking to Tali about upgrades once you've recruited her.

Mass Effect 2 DLC Problems?
My friend recently downloaded the Mass Effect 2 Collectors Edition armour and the special Pre-Order armour for me off of Xbox Live (as I don't have a connection) onto my hardrive. It has all downloaded successfully as I can view it in my hardrive memory. However, fro some reason it isn't showing up in game. Why? I activated the Cerberus code, and made all of the EA accounts and stuff, I checked the in game armoury and uniform changer thing. It's jut not in the game anywhere. mass effect was a good game, but it wasn't great. what i want to see in part 2 is less loading, the elevators got annoying. fix frame rate issues during battles, and more, better side missions. planets should be more lively, add some buildings, population, etc. there should be a mission(s) on Earth. i also want to be able to customize the normandy, more cuztomization(armor, weapons, etc) fix the control on the vehicle. you should also be able to start relationships with more than 2 characters.Mass effect fans: what do you want to see in Mass Effect 2?

Mass effect one is perfect, i love how it is a game with both rpg and shooter packed into one, it reminds me alot of borderlands. They stripped away a majority of the RPG stats from the first game. Such as weapon stats, armor stats, healing stats, etc.
They also replaced inventory. In ME2, there's almost NO inventory. No armors (besides DLC armor that doesn't do jack ****) besides a few upgrades that don't really have much effect. Almost all weapons are gone and replaced with a handful of weapons. They say these are "sidegrades" meant to make you choose which kind of weapon better suits your needs instead of replacing a weapon with a slightly statistically better one. Sounds cool and all, but this is sadly not the case ingame. Most weapons you'll find are flat out upgrades over their counterparts, and some are even more terrible than the basic weapons you start with (The 2nd sniper rifle you get is garbage).
Stat progression is gone. Weapon abilities are gone. There's only upgrading your skills over and over until you max them out. No base stats anymore. In the first game you can well-round your upgrades and become extremely efficient towards the end of the game. Your accuracy is vastly improved, your weapons and armor are top notch, and your weapon abilities are devastating and effective. None of this is in ME2. Just upgrade your skills. You'll still shoot the same at the end of the game that you did in the beginning.
There's a fixed amount of missions, which means a fixed amount of experience.
The world is overall much smaller than the first game. Much less exploration involved, in fact there's hardly any.
Regenerating Health (LOL! What the hell were you thinking, Bioware?)
The end result is that the many things that made ME1 the unique RPG it was, were taken away. Is ME2 a bad game? No it's not. The action is good and playing through to the end is quite fun. It's just not an RPG anymore, or at least it barely is one.
I thought mass effect 2 was fantastic. No its not a traditional RPG but it was fast paced and still had rpg elements. There isn't much of a loot system in ME2 you do get some guns but many things are upgraded through finding the upgrades then grinding out the reqs to buy them. Its a pretty good blend but it can lean more towards shooter style especially if you play a soldier. As you go towards the more biotic heavy classes its less shooter.
It has a great story and characters as well as amazing graphics. There is alot of DLC support including a kinda new one that links ME2 to ME3 which comes out later this year. I wouldn't skip it and now is a good time to buy because its cheaper.How exactly is mass effect 2 less rpg?

I highly doubt it. People paid ten bucks extra for the collectors edition so I doubt they'll just give their goodies away for free. Besides, the collector armor is not that special. It's the collector assault rifle that makes the CE great.

No there's no other way to get it. (Dragon Age is a great game though)

Hello, this is really important and has created a huge problem for me. I recently pre ordered Mass Effect 2, and Gamestop sent me an email with a code to unlock the Terminus Assault Armor and Blackstorm Heavy Weapon. Unfortunately, it sent me a PC code and prompted me to download the DLC. I don't have the game on the computer, but I will be playing Mass Effect 2 on my Xbox 360.
I am very, very confused. Their was a warning on the redeem code screen that said that once I used this code, I can no longer use after the first use. Will the Terminus Assault Armor and Blackstorm Heavy Weapon appear on my Xbox Live account? There doesn't seem to be any way to transfer my gamertag from one account to the other, so I redeemed by code on the wrong account and there's nothing else left to do. I'm pretty pissed but I'll get over it, it's just some stupid game armor.
I mean, I'm not gonna be pissed about game armor considering my car didn't start today...it's stuck in some university parking lot.
Here's how I got mine to work on the 360:

Mass Effect 2 Blood Dragon Armor?
I bought Mass Effect 2 and I downloaded the Blood Dragon armor since I had the code from Dragon Age. I go to my captains room and check the armor locker... its not there. So i go to my memory on my hard drive and delete the blood dragon armor from my memory, then i download it again hoping it would work this time... it didn't. I have deleted and downloaded the armor probably 3 times now and it still wont come up in my armor locker in my Captains cabin. Does anyone know how to fix this? You don't buy weapons, ammo and armor in Mass Effect 2.

I bought the game used, so I didn't get the cerberus network. A forum user gave me their cerberus membership, so I have that armor. I'm still looking for the terminus gear, the inferno armor, the collector gear, and the blood dragon armor.

I have pre-ordered Mass Effect 2 and did get the card that gave me the directions to get the armor and weapon. I also have an EA account. The problem for me is that I need to link that EA account to my gamertag (I use Xbox 360). I've doing this but it keeps saying that my gamertag is already in use? You have to create an account on EA's website over the internet, can't be done to my knowledge on the 360. And once you create an account, just fire up the game, and enter your account log in info. As for redeeming the armor, you should have gotten it through e-mail like I did. Gamestop sent me a code that way. I've heard others say it was taped to the box. But mine did not, check your inbox, and spam folders. If it's not there, contact Gamestop. Best of luck
